artsy life

hero paintings

Codename: Nestat

dateline: south of Manila , Quezon city

it was monday...

got no duty..

cellphone, tv and yes internet Lords the day of urban protocol...but i have other thing in mind. To paint the wholeday for a big portrait long over due for a non-artsy September.

evening.... whirling wind alternate the sms msge from my Dad texting all the from Davao, warning as the landfall of a typhoon name Pedring.

Tuesday dawn:

hissing wind and hard bristle intrudes my window with real gusty strength that will alarm sleepy soul.

my painting is half done and need polishing.

My mobile radio describes images of the typhoon pouring several feet of rain on suburbs and cities shows people barely head above water as dams flow over and flood entire towns. These happens as new hues and creative shades mixed into my color pallete in augur of controlled pigment.

Into the city, some take a major risk trying to escape the devastation by walking over power lines during the relentless rain fall accompanied by very strong winds.

Officials have stated that at least one individual has lost his life in the storm and fear that more bodies will be found when the rising waters subside.

For some sanguine reason or madness my obra takes better shape like a fighter pummeled and roaring to good finished.

The national weather agency Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services (Pagasa) says Pedring is located 100 kilometers east of Baguio City, with maximum sustained winds of 120 kph and with gustiness of 150, moving at 19 kph.

Post meridien am done and so was Nestat leaving dozens of dead.
